Dear Colleagues,
38th Turkish National Congress of Radiology will be held in Sueno Deluxe Hotel & Convention Center, Belek, Antalya on October 31 – November 4, 2017. I am very pleased to extend you a warm invitation to this congress.
These congresses that are organised by Turkish Society of Radiology traditionally every year are the largest national radiology organisations where all study groups come together and allow us to have a multi directional look to Turkish Radiology, increase our knowledge and experience and discuss our occupational issues.
Congress Scientific Committee have chosen two main topics this year. The first topic is “Multisystem diseases” which can cause multiple organ involvement and thus may have radiologic findings belonging to the whole body. Our second topic is “Appropriateness and imaging algorithm” which has an ever increasing importance in recent years all around the world that handles the fields of determining the optimal imaging methods according to the clinical condition and patient in respect to evidence based principals and expected to pave the way for dramatic changes in our medical practice by information systems in the near future.
Beside the day long “Head- Neck Radiology” and “Musculoskeletal Radiology Imaging” courses, we are also planning to organize a panel discussion themed “Radiation Safety” that we think it will be useful for our colleagues who work as radiation safety officers in hospitals.
We have included basic topics into the sessions aimed to refresh our knowledge. Also we are trying to address current subjects and developments as much as we can. In consideration of the feedbacks we received from the last year’s congress, we are planning to increase the number of “Case Based” presentations this year.
In order to help our participants to decide on which session to attend, we have divided our topics to 2 different levels: Level 1 will include the basic titles about the session topics whereas Level 2 will comprise more specific and advanced titles.
Furthermore, we are planning to include “Among Us” session with Turkish Society of Radiology Executive Committee into our program as in previous years where the problems and concerns of our research assistants and radiology specialists will be discussed and taken into consideration juristically.
I am looking forward to meet you in TURKRAD2017.
Best Regards,
Can Cevikol, MD
38th National Radiology Congress Scientific Committee President
